Shimano EP8 Drive Unit

The Shimano STEPS EP8 e-bike motor has a top pedal-assist speed of 20 mph and up-to 85 nM of torque for hilly terrain or heavier loads. With up to 400% of e-assist, you’ll cruise up hills with your bike loaded or unloaded.

Shimano 630Wh Battery

With 630Wh, you’ll be able to ride further without having to stop and recharge. A single 630 watt-hour battery provides between 30 to 60 miles per charge, depending on conditions.

Shimano E5003 Computer

The E5003 cycling computer gives you easy handlebar access to control your ebike system. With large display and easy to use button layout, you’ll take less time thinking about your electric assist and more time enjoying your adventure.

SRAM NX11 Components

Precise shifting and a clutch rear derailleur give you quick gear changes to get into the right gear for any terrain. Paired with a wide range 11-speed 11 tooth – 42 tooth cassette, no hills will stand in your way.

Hydraulic disc brakes

Hydraulic brakes offer more power for braking and they self adjust to keep your brakes powerful as the pads wear.

ED black coating

The longevity of your bike is important to us. For this reason, all RFA frames are painted with an internal and external rust proofing.

Convertible RFA WheelSkirts

If you decide to switch your bike up to Sport Mode, your existing WheelSkirt will actually convert down to fit the shorter RFA RearRack so you can still safely carry passengers.

Sturdy center kickstand

Load and unload cargo and rear passengers with confidence and ease thanks to the solid and stable dual leg RFA KickBack center kickstand.

Rear foot rests

The RFA comes stock with a set of RFA FootRests which give your rear passengers a comfortable place for their feet while offering additional support for cargo in bags.

Integrated front and rear lights

The RFA comes ready to ride anytime of day or night with a Herrmans H-Black Pro front light and H-Track Dynamo rear light.

Full metal fenders

It’s a compact utility bike you can ride every day that fits your life right where it’s at. It’s zippy and agile enough to zag through city streets, and for those times when you must add public transit into the mix? The RFA fits on a standard bus rack, rolls easily into a light rail car or an elevator, and fits on most automobile bike racks. And with a jumbo centerstand, hydro brakes, and our Signature Safety Fork, the RFA packs safety and durability right in with all that versatility.

Ready for you, and heirloom-ready for your protégé—we designed the RFA to last. Hand-me-downs just got way cooler. Fast forward a few years from now, when your tiny-helmeted cargo starts pedaling their own bikes, your RFA is ready to change with you—because, surprise, it’s really two bikes in one. When the time comes, you can easily convert from Utility to Sport mode and trade-off some of the cargo capacity for an even zippier, more compact steed. Because when we say Anything? We mean eff-ing Anything.

  • The Shimano STEPS EP8 e-bike motor has a top pedal-assist speed of 20 mph and up-to 85 nM of torque for hilly terrain or heavier loads.
  • A single 630 watt-hour battery provides between 30 to 60 miles per charge, depending on conditions.
  • The Shimano EC-6002 charger which can charge your battery from 0-100% in 10.2 hours or 0-80% in 7.5 hours.
  • The E5003 cycling computer which gives easy handlebar access to system controls.

An important note about child seats:
